Budget 2025 Inheritance Tax Rules. As announced at autumn budget 2024, from 6 april 2027 most unused pension funds and death benefits will be included within the value of a person’s estate for inheritance. The bill introduces a new section on agricultural relief which will apply for gifts or inheritances after january 1, 2025.
These fundamental changes commence from 6 april 2025. The recently published finance bill 2024 implements the taxation changes announced in budget 2025.
